In todays lesson we focused on the lighing use in imagined senarios and how to construct varied set provision.
As a class we discussed the different types on lights that are on offer to produce high quality lighinting in scences such as;
Kino light- here you can find a image of a Kino Light
Daylight- It is important to make sure daylight is overcast otherwise the image is hot, I also learnt that filming whilst its cloudy is the most effective way as the weather stays the same so you encounter no rain,sushine etc
3 way combo-This consist of 3 seperate lights that shine upon an object to give it more effect e.gn the front light provides details on an object whilst the side and back light are the strongest
spot lights-A narrow/round light used to highlight a certain feature in a far wider space
Bounce board-Shines light onto a object e.g A person stands under a light and another person moves their hand under their chin to give a lighter tone on the persons chin
If lighting is wrong nothing is going to look like the time,spae and the lighting zone.
Today I learnt the effects lighting can have when filming Prior to this lesson I knew it was a contributing factor but did not know it was a huge contribution
Next week we have Double Oscar winning Jeremy Thomas coming to class, so we can discuss different media institiuions etc!!!
