Analysing /Paper 1 section A introduction

In today's Lesson we went over the skills involved in succeeding in  Paper 1 section A.

In order to analyse a clip to the best of my ability we need to gather who the audience are, genre, how to target it and the representation it is displaying.

To understand fully what a clip involves we must know its intended audience, where it originates from, what it represents and its genre

Watching a clip three times allows us to understand the clip, make notes on each particular sections,pick up anything we may miss and look for different things

The examiner will be looking at our ability to focus and analyse the following sections in a British television drama;

Camera Movement
Use of Sound
Editing
Compositions (Mis en Scene)

We looked over a trailer for a feature length drama film in which we discussed a still image of a paused section we discussed as a class the immense effect the composition and camera angles gave the audience, from the complementing duvet sheets and outside light to the characters black dress ad dark mascara to represent someone who is lively.
