What makes a good short film script

I have found a article Here to The Sunday Times (in Feb 2008) discussing  "How to write a good short film script" which I think will be useful to gain inspiration from when creating my own script for my 2min opening.

 Focusing on the key points of;
  • Why am I making this film?
  • What is a short film?
  • What is the story?
  • The character and the problem
  • Making problems manifest to the audience
  • What does my story mean?
  • Am I telling the story from the best point of my view
  • The Tone of the film.

I now understand when creating my film script for my short film that good short film needs a story in which something happens that has a discernible effect on the main character. All successful short films focus on one moment/event. That moment is likely to be:
one of universal significance a moment that is of significance to the protagonist (whether s/he knows it at the time) one that produces a situation in which the stakes are high for the protagonist.

Here is a sample of a short film clip titled "Death Of The Revolution in order to give me inspiration for my own short film.
